How the Trip Flows
The trip is paced like a honeymoon should be: gentle start, wild middle, soft landing. One night in Arusha shakes off the flights. Karatu adds a spa day before the crater. Three nights at one Serengeti lodge keep the safari unhurried, with a private deck for every sunset. Then a flight swaps the plains for Kendwa Beach and three nights of doing very little, beautifully. No night is spent packing for the next day’s rush. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Arusha
Transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to a calm coffee-themed guesthouse in Arusha. Unpack, rest and toast the start of married life.
Day 2: Arusha to Karatu
Drive to the Karatu highlands, checking into your plantation lodge by early afternoon. Enjoy couples spa treatments and a candlelit dinner by the fireplace.
Day 3: Private Ngorongoro Crater Tour, then the Serengeti
Descend into the crater at sunrise with your private guide, picnic on the crater floor, then continue onto the Serengeti plains to your panoramic lodge.
Day 4: Serengeti Plains
Game drives at dawn and dusk, with lazy hours by the pool between. Sundowners on your private deck as the plains turn gold.
Day 5: Serengeti Plains
A second full day among the big cats and great herds. Ask about a dawn balloon flight over the plains — the ultimate honeymoon sunrise.
Day 6: Fly to Zanzibar
A short bush flight and a connection bring you to Zanzibar by afternoon. Transfer to Kendwa Beach and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
Day 7: Zanzibar — Beach and Spa
A free day for two: the beach, the pool, the ocean-view spa. Dinner by the water as the sun sets.
Day 8: Zanzibar — Spice Tour and Dhow Cruise
Tour a spice farm in the morning, then end the day with a private sunset dhow cruise along the coast.
Day 9: Fly Home
One last swim and a slow breakfast before your airport transfer. You leave with a marriage well begun.
