Safari Overview
This is Tanzania at its absolute finest. Seven days across the Legendary Expeditions collection, with private guides, private land and total exclusivity. From a coffee estate in Arusha to a lodge carved into river rocks, every night raises the bar again.
How the Trip Flows
Every leg of this journey is flown, so travel time is measured in minutes, not hours. One night in Arusha eases you in. Three nights at Mwiba unlock the private reserve: walks, night drives and culture no national park can offer. Two nights at a seasonal Legendary camp then place you beside the migration, wherever it happens to be for your dates. The camps talk to each other, so your preferences travel ahead of you. The itinerary tab holds the full plan, though yours will be shaped personally.
Where You Will Stay
The journey links Legendary Lodge, the ultra-luxury Mwiba Lodge above its river gorge, and a seasonal Legendary camp. Depending on your dates, that means Songa North, Songa South, Mila or Nyasi.
Safari Highlights
Night drives and bush walks on private land. Suites hanging over a river gorge. The Great Migration from a front-row camp. Private guiding shaped entirely around you.
Best Time to Go
December to March pairs Mwiba with the calving season next door. July to November links to the river crossings in the north.
Who This Safari Suits
For travelers who want the very best Tanzania offers, with privacy money rarely buys.
Good to Know
This journey is fully flown, with light aircraft linking every stop. All Legendary properties are all-inclusive, covering fine dining, drinks, laundry and every activity. Your private guide can stay with you for the whole trip on request. The seasonal camp is chosen by month, so tell us your dates and we will place you where the migration is. Book nine to twelve months ahead for peak season. This is the trip to splurge on.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Legendary Lodge, Arusha
Land at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Legendary Lodge on its Arusha coffee estate. Rest by the pool, stroll the gardens and recover from the flight in style.
Day 2: Fly to Mwiba Wildlife Reserve
A morning bush flight carries you to the private Mwiba Reserve on the southern edge of the Serengeti ecosystem. Game-drive to the lodge above its river gorge, then watch elephants drink below your deck.
Day 3: Mwiba — Walks and Night Drives
Explore on foot with armed guides in the morning and take a night drive after dinner — freedoms only private land allows. Spa and pool time fill the warm midday hours.
Day 4: Mwiba — Culture and Wilderness
Visit Hadzabe hunter-gatherers or Datoga herders for a genuine cultural morning, then follow the wildlife off-road through the afternoon. Dinner is served in the bush under lanterns.
Day 5: Fly to a Legendary Migration Camp
A short flight places you at the seasonal Legendary camp — Songa North, Songa South, Mila or Nyasi, depending on where the herds are. Afternoon game drive from camp.
Day 6: Full Day with the Herds
Spend the whole day with the migration: calving plains in the green season or the Mara River in crossing season. Your private guide sets the pace.
Day 7: Fly to Arusha
A final dawn game drive, then fly back to Arusha for your onward connection, with a day room arranged if needed.
