Why choose between safari and beach when Tanzania offers both? This 10-day journey pairs the great northern parks with the white sands of Zanzibar. You will track lions in the morning and, days later, watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean with your feet in the sand.
How the Trip Flows
The trip splits cleanly in two: six days of safari, four days of beach. The safari half runs Tarangire, Serengeti and crater, with three nights at one Serengeti lodge so the middle of the trip stays unhurried. A ninety-minute flight then swaps dust for sand. On Zanzibar, one day is kept free, one goes to spices and one to Stone Town or the sea — with every plan optional. Bush first, beach second is the right order; rest lands better after adventure. Where You Will Stay
The safari uses Tarangire Kati Kati, Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge with its infinity pool, and Kitela Lodge near the crater. On the island, relax at Zuri Zanzibar, the stylish beach resort on Kendwa Beach.

Good to Know
The safari-to-beach flight from Arusha to Zanzibar takes about ninety minutes. We book it for you, along with all transfers on both sides. Park fees, full board on safari and breakfast at the beach are included. Zuri Zanzibar offers half-board and all-inclusive upgrades. Pack light for the bush flight: soft bags only, about 15 kilograms. Want more beach? Add nights at Zuri for less than you might expect.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Drive two hours to Tarangire for an afternoon among elephants and giant baobabs. Sleep inside the park under canvas.
Day 2: Tarangire to the Serengeti
Travel through Karatu and the Ngorongoro highlands, pausing at the crater rim viewpoint, then descend onto the Serengeti plains with a game drive to your hillside lodge.
Day 3: Central Serengeti
A full day in the Seronera Valley among lions, leopards and cheetahs, with a picnic in the bush and an afternoon by the infinity pool.
Day 4: Central Serengeti
A second full day on the plains. Your guide follows the morning's tracks and the radio chatter to the best sightings. Sundowners on the deck close the day.
Day 5: Serengeti to Karatu
Catch sunrise on the plains, then drive back through the conservation area to Karatu. Enjoy a spa treatment or a waterfall walk at your plantation lodge.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater, then Fly to Zanzibar
Descend into the crater at dawn for a final morning tour. After an early lunch, drive to Arusha and board the afternoon flight to Zanzibar. Transfer to Kendwa Beach.
Day 7: Zanzibar — Beach Day
A free day on Kendwa Beach. Swim, snorkel or simply do nothing at all under a palm tree.
Day 8: Zanzibar — Spice Tour
Join a morning spice farm tour to see cloves, vanilla and cinnamon growing. The afternoon is yours for the pool or the ocean-view spa.
Day 9: Zanzibar — Stone Town or Sea
Choose a half-day Stone Town tour through the old city's alleys and markets, or stay beachside. End with a sunset dhow cruise.
Day 10: Fly Home
Enjoy a last swim and a slow breakfast before your transfer to Zanzibar airport for the flight home.
