Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi (Kilimanjaro Base)
Pick-up at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your luxury hotel in Moshi. Meet your mountain guide for a briefing.
Day 2: Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut
Drive to Marangu Gate (approx. 1.5 hours) and begin the trek. Hike through lush rainforest to Mandara Hut (approx. 3–4 hours).
Day 3: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut
Continue trekking through moorland and heath zones to Horombo Hut (approx. 6–7 hours).
Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut
Optional hike to Zebra Rocks for acclimatization. Rest and prepare for the next stage.
Day 5: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut
Ascend to the alpine desert zone, reaching Kibo Hut (approx. 5–6 hours). Prepare for the summit attempt.
Day 6: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak & Descend to Horombo
Start around midnight for the final push to Gilman’s Point, then Uhuru Peak. Celebrate at the summit before descending to Horombo Hut.
Day 7: Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate – Arusha
Complete the descent to Marangu Gate. Drive to Arusha and check in to your luxury lodge for a well-deserved rest.
Day 8: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
Fly from Arusha to Serengeti (approx. 1 hour). Afternoon game drive through the Seronera Valley.
Day 9: Full-Day Serengeti Safari
Explore Serengeti’s vast plains and search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. Optional hot air balloon safari (extra cost).
Day 10: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Morning game drive before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional) and enjoy sunset views from the crater rim.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Descend early into the crater for a full day of game viewing. Look for rhinos, lions, buffalo, and flamingos. Return to the lodge in the evening.
Day 12: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Departure
Drive back to Arusha (approx. 4–5 hours) for lunch and a day room. Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for departure.
